What we did: Demo whole house. Took down 4/3 of the second floor and put on new braces. 90% Canadian lodgepole pine tongue in groove wall and ceiling. Rebuilt the fireplace and mantle with custom cabinetry. Build a staircase from Canadian lodgepole pine, half slab steps with lodgepole pine railing. Six month job done in three months using double shifts.
